Resources and Training

Rural Mental Health Matters is Social Enterprise specialising in research and early intervention, with a focus on tackling rural mental health inequality, by providing information and signposting in rural and remote communities, via mobile outreach development. We are not able to advise people directly on their personal circumstances.

Rural Mental Health Matters is committed to improving public awareness of the many services and resources that are currently available. We will use this page to promote services that aim to improve awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and wellbeing.

Zero Suicide Alliance

Rural Mental Health Matters is proud to be a member of the Zero Suicide Alliance.

The Zero Suicide Alliance is a collaborative of National Health Service trusts, businesses and individuals who are all committed to suicide prevention in the UK and beyond. The alliance is ultimately concerned with improving support for people contemplating suicide by raising awareness of and promoting FREE suicide prevention training which is accessible to all. The aims of this training are to: enable people to identify when someone is presenting with suicidal thoughts/behaviour, to be able to speak out in a supportive manner, and to empower them to signpost the individual to the correct services or support.

If you are interested in Suicide Prevention please undertake the 20 minutes free e-learning training developed by the Zero Suicide Alliance ‘Suicide – let’s Talk’ by following this link.
